Your final 2025 OrganicSoilSolutionstreatment was applied today. Thanks for having us care for your lawn organically this year. The product we applied today is called Charge and it works to improve soil chemistry, soil structure and soil biological activity. It contains biochar, molasses, kelp and plant

proteins. Biochar is a type of charcoal formed in a low oxygen environment. Its immense surface area and complex pore structure (a single gram can have a surface area of over 1000 square yards) provides a secure habitat for nutrients, micro-organisms and fungi.

But none of our work would get done without our wonderful crew. Many are from El Salvador and particularly a small town where we helped fund a water treatment plant. Organic Soil Solutions placards were plastered on all the buildings.

Most of the guys travel back regularly. Alfredo, who has worked with us for 20 years, has built 2 houses, one for himself and one for his parents. Martine has brought his two sons, one of whom, though still in high school is really a talented mechanic. Junior added his father, Manuel to the mix and his uncle, Omar.

Oscar has two young kids and they are going on an adventure every free moment. They love camping in the White Mountains. Oscar even convinced Julio, with Franklin, Enoc and Noe to drive his jeep to the top of Mt. Washington. Julio proudly displays his “This Car Climbed Mt. Washington” sticker on the front bumper.

It is a lot of fun hanging around with these guys who do most of the real work. Many have been with us for a long time. They show up early and stay late and they work when it’s hot or rainy or cold. We get a lot of comments about our cheerful employees. Besides the occasional jealousies and gossip, the guys get along pretty well.

t is not easy being organic. Each lawn is different when you don’t rely on the broad brush of chemicals. Thanks for your patience as we try to improve the soil and plant the seed. We now do so many other things besides lawns like hardscapes, plantings and even permeable driveways. Leaves should not be a problem for this application unless they blanket the ground. Charge is in the form of heavy, dense granules that will fall to the ground. If you need a fall cleanup give us a call.
